Blood-sugar stabilizing cinnamon and other warm spices make this a splendid way to end the evening! 🎄 ⁠ —⁠ Ingredients:⁠ ⁠ - ½ cup organic pumpkin puree⁠ - 2/3 cup full-fat coconut cream from canned coconut milk, chilled overnight⁠ - 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice⁠ - 2 Pumpkin Spice Collagen Protein Bars, crushed⁠ Stevia or Bulletproof sweetener of choice, to taste⁠ ⁠ Instructions:⁠ ⁠ - Open can of coconut milk without shaking or incorporating, scoop cream layer (on top) into a small bowl.⁠ - Make pumpkin mousse by combining pumpkin puree, sweetener, 2 tbsp. coconut cream and pumpkin pie spice in a medium bowl.⁠ - Using a hand mixer, whip until smooth and silky. Wise leaders understand that perhaps the biggest challenge humanity has is in its ability to crack the code on this skill. If we are present, we can respond to the reality of any situation with more grace, more compassion, more wisdom and yes, more bravery. It is when we are stuck in the past, unaware of how our emotions and thoughts are tricking us into grossly misreading the current situation, or stuck in the future, letting scenarios that haven't happened and probably won't happen rob us of our energy, that we show up less than what we ultimately could be capable of bringing to our life. ⁠ ⁠ Here's the truth: words are always grossly inadequate to describe anything non-dual like presence, but analogies and referring to experiences that are relatable are the best ways to help us get it.⁠ ⁠ Practice: Take a breath in and pay attention to the expansion, where it is travelling through your body, how it feels in your belly, ribs, chest and allow the release of the exhale, relaxing as it goes. Noticing your breath brings you into presence. The more you can practice being aware of your breath, the more you will be aware of everything else. The more you practice, the more you can be aware of everything THROUGH your awareness of your breath. Our HACKD Core Value   #2  : Slay the dragon 🐉 ⁠ —⁠ Our dragons are our fears -- slaying doesn't necessarily mean "kill", it can also mean dance or laugh with... here's what I know, the prophetic FDR in his iconic "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" was obviously speaking to something quite deep and true and enigmatic... because if you really think about it (and hi, I am Pam, and I really think about this stuff) if you follow what he says, we end up fearing fear and it's turtles all the way down. You get literally stuck fearing fear, being in fear, being stuck in separateness from life itself. So how about this: if we look at fear with love and gratitude and curiosity, and snuggle up to it, we can figure out what the next best move is. Do we need to release the fear because it isn't rooted in truth (which effectively "kills" it - it won't pop up anymore once fully released)... Do we get to dance with the fear because it is rooted in wisdom, telling us to slow down, speed up, measure twice, whatever the important wisdom is...? Do we get to laugh with the fear, because often times laughter will illuminate the darkness that the fear is shrouded in and take away the very power the darkness had in the first place...?⁠ ⁠ Whatever the case, our fears need to be dealt with. If we act from fear instead of love, whether we are aware of it or not, fear will always take us lower, the opposite direction of true elevated growth. It is by welcoming, embracing, loving our fears that we can be liberated to thrive. If we cannot find a way to welcome, embrace and love our fear, take a deep breath and move closer to those feelings anyway. Recently, to combat an array of issues ranging from serious injury to auto immune deficiencies, Dan turned to biohacking and a more bullet-proof lifestyle.
