I would love to be able to say something exciting happened as we were reading the story and that's why Embree was making this face but honestly, I caught her just as she was about to yawn and most of the time it's hard to get through a chapter, or even a Dr. Seuss book. Oh The Places You'll Go was a no go for Embree so I decided we'll save it until she's older and have all her teachers sign it, then she can have it when she graduates. Harry Potter she doesn't seem to mind though. I know she doesn't understand what is happening in the story but I love reading to her and it's nice to get to reread all the stories I had read as a kid, although now they're so old the pages are yellowing. (Does anyone else love the smell of old books though, because I certainly do. I don't get to walk into bookstores much nowadays but they're definitely one of my favorite happy places.) Anyway, I'm just hoping she has the same love for reading I did/do. It's yet to be seen but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Also, Embree has started babbling and interacting with us more and more when we speak to her so that makes all those days of having to listen to the fact that she could have hearing loss due to the medications she was on a little less terrifying.
