#throwback finish line feels. When you work so damn hard towards a goal, and you make it! Never give up! MRU 80km I had a goal of sub 12hrs. I was 11hrs 58mins and 49 seconds. The goal was always in sight but only if I worked hard, at one point the goal was looking out of reach, infact my crew had told everyone that I wasn’t going to make it, we had done the sims at the final check point and it wasn’t going to happen. No one was looking out for me before the 12hr mark and they nearly missed my finish! But not many people understand exactly how strong and how stubborn I can be, until that day I had no idea how strong or stubborn I could be. The outpouring of emotion as I crossed is nothing I have ever experienced before in my life. The post ultra burnout was real, but now I am ready to focus on new goals, new missions, new purposes. I’m 6 weeks into my rebuilding and whilst I have lost fitness, lost endurance, gained weight what I haven’t lost is that fighting spirit.
